Hampton + Hudson in Inman Park

One trip to Hampton + Hudson, and it will become your new favorite neighborhood eatery, even if you don’t live in Inman Park! From the owners of Nina & Rafi and Cypress Street Pint + Plate (Jenn and Billy Streck), H+H is officially welcoming you for lunch, happy hour, dinner and brunch.

WHY GO:
Because it’s the best new spot in Inman Park!

THE VIBE:
Casually refined. Handcrafted cocktails and intricate dishes without the stuffiness of a white table cloth.

DRINK THIS:
Jefferson’s Jetpack. The vodka-based cocktail has a violet-flavored egg white foam, which makes it very tasty.

EAT THIS:
Hmm, where to start… Well, let’s start with snacks: Go for the steak tartare tacos. It’s Waygu beef mixed with cured egg yolk and herbs, and served in a potato chip shell. Awesome start to the meal!

Of the toasts, I chose the duck ham one, which is served on sourdough bread and topped with little moo cheese, baby mustard greens and figs.

Love that the menu recommends multiple drink pairings, in case you're not feeling wine that night!

On to the salads: Hands down, go for the charred octopus! SO tasty! Perfectly cooked, not at all chewy, and served on a bed of arugula with hearts of palm and seasonal citrus fruit.

The charred octopus--easily one of my favorite dishes of the night!

OK, now for the main course — this is hard. My husband and I had the Spies Like Us burger and the cauliflower steak, and we were severely impressed with both! The burger is perfectly juicy, and the cauliflower is crispy on the outside but tender on the inside.

Cauliflower steak: Topped with grilled mushrooms and served on top of curried lentils and carrot puree

Spies Like Us burger: Comes with "Soviet" sauce, American cheese, and spicy pickles

But we were both torn between the rotisserie chicken, the duck confit cassoulet and the porchetta panini. I guess this means many more trips to H+H for me in the near future!

FUN FACT:
Hampton + Hudson is currently working on a late-night menu, a secret tasting menu, and their own Waygu beef jerky! Again, SO many reasons to visit again!
